Jimmy Jay Yocum, 56 years, 9 months, 19 days old, passed to Heaven July 14, 2017 at his home in Ava with family by his side.
Jimmy was born September 26, 1960 in Nebraska City, Nebraska to John Newton and Mary Ellen (Scott) Yocum.
Jimmy was a truck driver for several years. Jimmy was a Christian. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and loved special gatherings with his family.
Jimmy was preceded in death by one brother, Steve Yocum.
Jimmy is survived by his parents, John and Mary Yocum, two sons, Jed Yocum and April, Beatrice, NE, and Jake Yocum, Omaha, NE, a grandson, Jacob and a grandson on the way, a sister, Charolette Webster, brothers, Bruce Yocum and Jerry Yocum, and many other relatives and friends.
Cremation services for Jimmy are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. A celebration of life will be held with family and friends at the home of his sister at a later date and time.
Memorials may be made to the family as a love offering.
