J.M. "Buddy" Fast, 75, of Caulfield, MO was born December 20, 1947 and departed this life on December 4, 2023 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Odessa, Texas to J.O. "Bud" and Catherine Fast.

The Fast family moved to Caulfield when Buddy was a kid and he graduated from Gainesville High School in 1966. ln 1969, he married the love of his life, Linda Mitchell and two children were born. Many family vacations were taken as family was always Buddy's first priority. Buddy was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. He loved watching his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids do what they loved. He was always available for advice, and he knew so much about so many things!

Buddy is preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Catherine Fast; his brother-in-law Bob Dischler and his grandson, Colton Overcast.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; his sister Donna Dischler; his daughter Christy Overcast and husband David, his son Mitch and wife Michele; grandkids Caitlin Wichowski and husband Josh, Natalie Fast and Madeline Fast; and 2 great-grandsons Cameron Overcast and Gentry Wichowski.

At Buddy's request, no public service will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
