Jo Ann Lewis Mitchell
Jo Ann Mitchell passed away peacefully in San Juan Capistrano, Ca early Wednesday morning April 27,th 2016, at the age of 80 years. Born January 9th, 1936 in Squires, MO she was a graduate of Ava High School and Drury College.
Jo Ann and her husband James L. Mitchell raised their family in Meridian, MS and returned to reside in Springfield, MO in 1984 then retired in Branson, MO early 1990's.
She was predeceased by her son John Ellis Mitchell, her husband James L. Mitchell and her parents John and Inez Lewis, of Ava, MO.
Survived by her daughter Jo Beth Mitchell Prud'homme, son-in-law Jon Prud'homme, grandchildren Samantha Jo and Nicholas Prud'homme of Aliso Viejo, CA.
There will be a graveside service held at Ava Cemetery on Tuesday, June 28th at 10:00 a.m. with a memorial reception to follow at Ava's Super 8 Motel. Officiating will be Pastor Matt Kerner.
Local services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
