Wynne Joan Rackley

Wynne Joan Rackley, 84 years, 8 months, and 6 days old, passed to heaven on January 26, 2015 at Ozark Mountain Regional Healthcare, Crane, MO.

Joan was born May 20, 1930 in Wynnewood, OK to Ira and Mary ( Earl) Shipley. Joan was a resident of the Ava community for several years.
On June 9, 1947 Joan and Lemuel Dewey Rackley were united in marriage in Mtn. Home, AR and to this union two sons, Garry and Richard were born.

Joan was a Christian. She loved bluegrass music and square dancing.
She also enjoyed gathering at McDonald's drinking coffee with all her buddies. Family and friends delighted in her smile and clever sense of humor. Joan loved taking care of her mother in the home in Ava until her mother's passing.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lemuel in 1987, and two siblings, Robert and Iris Marie Martin.


Joan is survived by two sons, Garry Rackley and wife, Sherrie, Harrison, AR and Richard Rackley and wife Annita, Mt. View, AR, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a sister, Dorothy Drager, Cookville, Tennessee
and other relatives and friends.


Graveside services for Joan will be Thursday, January 29th, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at Sweeton Pond Cemetery, Dora, MO. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Officiating will be Harlin Howerton. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society . Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home.
