Joe B. "Pete" Miller, 57 years, 10 months, and 28 days old, passed to heaven on April 15, 2011 at Ava, MO.

Joe Pete was born May 17, 1953 in Ava, MO to Joe B. and Goldie (Jenkins) Miller. He graduated from Ava High School.

Joe Pete was a lifelong resident of the Ava community. On July 1, 1996 Joe Pete and Jeannie Lee were united in marriage in Ava, MO.


Joe Pete worked for the Ava R1 School District for 35 years as a School Bus Driver. He also loved and enjoyed farming and fishing. His joy was being with his family and his grandchildren. He was a member of the Gentry Church.

Joe Pete was preceded in death by his father, Joe B. and his grandson, Brady Lee.


Joe Pete is survived by his wife, Jeannie Miller, Ava, MO, his mother,Goldie Miller, Ava, MO, three sons and their spouses, Larry & Bobbie Miller, Ava, MO, Tim Lee, Goodhope, MO and Chad & Crystal Lee, Ava, MO, five grandchildren, Candace and Kahli Miller, Bailey Lee, Camryn & Caden Lee, brother & wife, Jimmy & Brenda Miller, Ava, MO, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.


Funeral services for Joe Pete will be Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Ava Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, April 18, 2011 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Riley Hall.Love offerings may be made to the family at the funeral home.
