JOE REX GRIFFIN

Joe Rex Griffin, 75, died at his home at Caulfield, MO on February 16, 2020. He was born December 3, 1944 at Elijah, MO to Johnnie and Jewell (James) Griffin.

Joe served his country in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967. He lived at the family home working with cattle and helping his brothers operate a sawmill. He also was employed at Safeway Charcoal Plant after his military service.

He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting turkey and deer. He also enjoyed playing cards with the family and watching sports on TV.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant brother; one infant sister; one brother Jimmy Griffin; three brothers-in-law Robert Barzelogna, Ray Wells, and Dennis Taylor.
He is survived by one brother John R. Griffin; five sisters Sunny Barzelogna, Jean Griffin, Linna Wells, Susan Taylor and Cynthia Leonard and husband Lewis; nieces and nephews include Robert Barzelogna, Richard Barzelogna, Lance Wells, Choya Wells, Tammy Wells, Courtney Bledsoe, Matt Taylor, Shannon Taylor, Cahen Taylor and Melodie Sells; also ten great nephews and nieces; and three great-great nephews.

Joe was beloved by his family, and per his request his ashes will be buried in the Marshall Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
