Joe Bill "J.B." Long

Joe Bill Long, son of Joe Long and Della Evans Long was born on May 28, 1922 in Marion County, Arkansas and departed this life on October 18, 2006 in Camdenton, MO at the age of 84 years, 4 months and 20 days.
Joe Bill "J.B." was a resident of Camdenton for the past three years moving from the Ava community where he lived for many years.
He was an independent truck driver. On March 17, 1949 "J.B." and Gladys Wells were united in marriage in Mtn. Home, AR and to this union one daughter was born. He was of the Baptist faith. "J.B." enjoyed rebuilding Model A Fords, fishing, buying/selling watermelons and gardening.
"J.B." was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Allen "Walker" Long and Albert "Dink" Long.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys of Camdenton, MO, one daughter and son-in-law, Joetta & Mark House, Camdenton, MO, three grandchildren, Tyrus, Kelsey and Andrew House all of Camdenton, three sisters, Odell Weston, Wilburton, OK, Raye Woodward, Dora, MO and Faye Crozier, Mt. Vernon, MO, several nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services are Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006, 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with Rev. Oren Alcorn officiating and burial following in the Lutie Cemetery, Theodosia, MO. A visitation will precede the funeral from 12:30 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Family requests memorials to Lutie Cemetery, American Heart Assoc. or Arthritis Foundation. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
