John Robert Aborn

John Robert Aborn, 57 years, 11 months, 6 days old, passed away on
January 26, 2017 in Ava, Missouri.

John was born February 20, 1959 in Mansfield, MO to James K. and Leota (Hoover ) Aborn.

John was a Mechanic and owner and operator of Aborn's Garage in Ava.
He was an Army Veteran and served as a Staff Sergeant in Heidelberg, Germany. He also served in Fort Polk, Louisiana where his children were born and where he served as a mechanic.

John enjoyed his kids, grandkids, Harley's, his cats, Snoopy, his coffee, smoking his pipe, and most of all spending time with his family and loved ones. He loved joking and laughing with people. He was a Christian and grew up attending Ava Highway Church of the Nazarene. He was brash and rough around the edges but loved by all.

John was preceded in death by his niece, Shawna Bair France.

John is survived by his companion of 20 years, Diannia Kim Johnson, his two children, Tara Aborn (his "Pickle") & partner, David Terrill and their son, Dorian Terrill, and Erlin Aborn (his "Maggot"), all of Ava, his parents, Jim & Leota Aborn, Ava, MO, four siblings, Lee & Marsha Aborn, Ava, MO, Nancy & Don Bair, Oldfield, MO, Patsy & David Morrison, Ava, MO, and Kenneth & Carla Aborn, Ava, MO, ex wife, Jean Kelley, step children, Amber & Matt Gerike and their children, Emma, Lyla, and Mira, Jannessa Johnson and her children, Michael and Caden, Aaron Johnson, and Joshua Johnson and his two children,
many nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for John will be Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO and burial in the Ava Cemetery with full military honors by Troy Herd American Legion Post 112 and U.S. Army. Visitation will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. to service time in the chapel.
Officiating will be Pastor Mark Hatcher.
