JOHN LEE BEACH FAREL
John Lee Beach Farel, 75, of Ozark, MO passed away on February 13, 2013 at Ozark Riverview Manor after a lengthy illness. He had made his peace with the Lord and was ready to go home. He was born on July 22, 1937 in Elijah, MO the son of James Earl and Roxie (Roberts) Farel.
John Beach was raised on the family farm in Elijah and attended Bakersfield High School. He retired as a truck driver from Associated Grocers in Springfield, MO after 40 years. He loved fishing, hunting and the outdoors. He had a special love for coon hunting and enjoyed many nights listening to his dogs track and tree a coon. John Beach was very passionate about his family and friends, although he did have an ornery side. He had a way of insulting you, without making you mad at him……most of the time. Those close to him knew he loved them very much and that was just his way. He was full of life and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Farel was preceded in death by his parents James and Roxie Farel; one son Faron Farel; one sister Hazel Walden; and one niece Rhonda Donley. He is survived by his wife, Carol Farel of the home in Ozark, MO; his children Jimmy Farel of Springfield, MO, Cherry Wright and husband Harry of Independence, MO and Marsha Stone of Springfield, MO; his step children Mark Coffer and wife Babbi, Arleigh Long and husband Steve, Sharon Rains and husband Tom, Troy Coffer and wife Jill all of Sparta, MO and Donna McCallister and friend Mike Ruzicka of Dittmar, MO; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters Lyndell Strong of Gainesville, MO and Glenda Donley and husband Austin of Squires, MO; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
