John Elmer Goss Sr., 91 years, 8 months, 2 days old, passed to Heaven on August 21, 2021 in his home.

John was born December 19, 1929 in Ava, Missouri to Theodore Thomas and Marian (Moore) Goss.

John was a retired Mechanic and owned his business, Goss Garage in Harrisonville, MO for several years. John and Anna Marie Blakey were married September 15, 1948 in Mtn. Home, Arkansas. Together they had five children. In 2007 Anna passed away, and John later married Deloris (Mace) Dougherty. They remained married until Deloris passed away on November 18, 2018.

He enjoyed bluegrass music, camping, fishing and visiting. John loved family get togethers too!

He was a Christian and attended Cold Creek Cowboy Church.

John was preceded in death by his parents; his wives; son, John E. Goss Jr; brothers, Albert "Ab" Goss and Arthur Goss.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Brenda Sweitzer, James "Jim" & Debbie Goss , Linda & Larry Hetherington, all from Harrisonville, Missouri , and Rebecca & Mark Davis from Kansas; 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, sisters Daisy Moore, Mary Miller, and Dennis "Denny" Goss all from Ava, Missouri, many nieces, nephews, a good friend, Alfreda Barlett, other relatives and friends.

Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. His cremains will be laid to rest by Anna Marie in the Spring Creek Cemetery per his wishes at a later date and time.
