JOHN MARSHALL JONES
John Marshall Jones, Gassville, AR, son of Wendell Marshall and Tena Hazel (Snelson) Jones, was born December 2, 1938 in Holly, CO and passed away January 4, 2009 in Mountain Home, AR at the age of 70 years.
On April 24, 1972 he married Charlene (Zanzig) Lee in Lakeview, AR. John loved being outdoors and was employed as a dock manager at Gaston's Resort where he worked for twenty-five years.
He is survived by his wife Charlene of the home in Gassville, AR; one step-son Christopher Lee of Valparaiso, IN; three grandchildren Heather, Gabrielle, and Mya; two sisters Maxine Stewart of Blue Springs, MO and Gloria Evans of Noble, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters Beverly Glover and Hazel Jones; and two brothers Robert Snelson and Douglas Jones.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO with Mark Norris officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5 – 7 PM at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to Oak Grove Cemetery, Baxter Regional Medical Center, or the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mountain Home.
