John Henry Masters

John Henry Masters, 68 years, passed away on December 8, 2014 at his home with his family by his side.

John was born August 11, 1946 in Kansas City, Kansas to Edgar Louis and Mae Mary (Belsuel) Masters.


John was a semi-retired truck driver for Schrock Trucking in Springfield, MO. He trucked for over 40 years. He was an ArmyVeteran and served in Vietnam. John and Tammy (Beavers) were united in marriage on August 19, 2011 in Harrison, AR.

He enjoyed his work and loved being on the road. John also enjoyed camping, playing cards and most of all spending time with family and his wife, Tammy.

John was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Floyd, Ralph and Charles Masters and three sisters, Carol, Joyce and Louise.

John is survived by his wife, Tammy Masters, Clever, MO, one son, Johnathan Masters and Rachel McCarty, Independence, MO, two granddaughters, Lux and Iris Masters, step granddaughter, Katie, six sisters, Pearl (Bob) Ashton, Forsyth, MO, Darlene Jackson and Arlene Jackson both of Silver Lake, KS, Rosemary Sharp, Henrietta, OK, Wynonna Perkins, Medford, OR and Virginia Altis, Springfield, MO, mother-in-law, Janet Crawford, Clever, MO, special friends, Wayne & Cheryl West, Butler, MO,
many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.


Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
