John W. McMullin of Tecumseh, MO passed away on February 16, 2022 at the age of 71.

John was born on July 27, 1950 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to J. Edwin and May Weldon McMullin. Following a tour of duty in the Navy and travels throughout the United States, he shed his Yankee roots and settled in Tecumseh in the early 1980s. He considered the area to be one of the most beautiful places on Earth and spent his happiest times rowing on the North Fork River.

For many years, John was a well-respected breeder of Labrador Retrievers.

John was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by a sister and brother as well as two nieces and their families.

Graveside services for John will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the White Oak Cemetery near Tecumseh, MO. If they wish, attendees are invited to share a happy memory of John at that time. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
