JOHN EMERY SCHULTZ
John Emery Schultz, 91, of Theodosia, MO passed away November 15, 2020 at Baxter Regional Medical Center, Mtn Home, AR. He was born April 3, 1929 in Washington, MO to John Emery Sr. and Faye (Hathcock) Schultz.
John graduated from West Plains High School class of 1947. He enlisted into the United States Army where he proudly served his county for three years and three months. After his discharge, John came back to West Plains and worked at a dairy. He later moved to St Louis where he met Dorothy Patton. The couple married November 26, 1966. John worked for many years in the St Louis area for the Postal Service as a mail carrier. Upon his retirement in 1986, he and Dorothy moved to Theodosia, MO. John was very active in the area, from his many years working as a Theodosia First Responder to being a deacon at the True Hope Baptist Church. He was a wonderful, hard-working man who truly had a servant's heart.
John is survived by his sons Lloyd Schultz of St Ann, MO, Roger Cochran and wife Julianne of Nixa, MO and Steven Cochran and wife Julia of Chicago, IL; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Dorothy; and four siblings.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2020 in the Lutie Cemetery, Theodosia, MO with David Dodson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday morning from 11 a.m. to noon at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO. The family asks that everyone please wear a mask and social distance. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lutie Cemetery. Arrangements are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
