John Hugh Wilson II, 66, of Theodosia, MO passed away August 5, 2021 at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, MO. He was born March 24, 1955 in St Louis, MO to John Hugh and Lennie (Meesey) Wilson.

John grew up in St Louis, and there he began a life-long love affair with the St Louis Cardinals. In all his life's travels, he never strayed away from Cardinal nation. He could talk Redbird baseball all day long. As a young man, John attended Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN.

On April 29, 1989 he was united in marriage to Nancy (White). John worked many years as an electrical superintendent for Honeywell Intelligrated. He loved riding his motorcycle, being outdoors and hunting. He and Nancy moved to Theodosia, MO in 2003 from California. He was very active in the Theodosia United Methodist Church and he had the most beautiful baritone voice. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Wilson of the home in Theodosia, MO; one son John Hugh Wilson III and fiancé Erin; one daughter Carrie Raye Hester and husband Drew; one granddaughter Hannah Hester, who was the light of his life; one sister Donna Humbert and husband Jonathan; two brothers Randy Wilson and wife Michele, Keith Wilson and wife Sindy; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at later date. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Boykin Spaniel Rescue, Inc., 1611 Franklin St, Fredericksburg, VA 22401.
