John Albert Yeisley, 75 years, 1 month, 18 days old, passed away on January 2, 2018 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO.
John was born November 15, 1942 in Douglas County, MO to Claude and Neva (Dewhirst) Yeisley.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran and would have served during Vietnam War.
John was retired from working at Spaldings and Rawlings Sporting Goods Co. in Ava for 35 years.
John was a Christian and had attended church as a young boy. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, country and gospel bluegrass music, and loved to work hard. John never missed a day of work.
John was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Frieda Faye Harper and a niece, Diane Short.
He is survived by one son, Ted of Ava, MO, one sister, Naomi Short, Rupert, Idaho, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for John will be Friday, Jan. 5th, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO. A visitation will be Friday from 1:00 p.m.to service time. Burial will be in the Arden Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn. Memorials may be made to Arden Cemetery.Visitation
