Joseph A. Immell , 85 years, 4 months passed away on May 19, 2017, at Lawrence Memorial hospital in Lawrence, Kansas.
Joe was born December 20, 1931 at Chillicothe Ohio to Walter and Ethel M (Dailey) Immell.
Joe attended elementary and high school in Chillicothe, Ohio. After high school he proudly served in the US Marine Corp.
He attended college at SMSU in Springfield MO (now Mo State University) and went on to spend 25 years working for the Federal USP system. After retirement in 1985 Joe enjoyed time on his farm in Leavenwoth, Kansas, raising cattle and working with his beloved Clydesdale horses and many animal rescues.
Joe is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bobbie (Reynolds) Immell of the home, his daughter Becky Dozer of Londonderry, Ohio. Also surviving are his sister Kathryn Shoemaker of Chilicothe and granddaughters Melissa O'Neil and Jamie Rhodes of Bradford, Pennsylvania and several nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, son Matthew and brother Walter Jr.
A visitation will be at High Prairie Chapel, 26480 187th St, Leavenworth from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday May 23 with burial at Center Point Cemetery in Gainesville, MO on Thursday May 25, 2017. Local graveside arrangements are by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
