Obituary

Joseph "Joe" Bricker

Squires, Missouri

Joseph Vincent Bricker, 73 years, 5 months, and 1 day old, passed peacefully on August 9, 2024, at  home with his family by his side.

Joe was born March 8, 1951, in Akron, Ohio, to Robert F. and Genevieve (Frankina) Bricker.

Joe was drafted into the United States Army in 1971. He was a soldier, radio mechanic, and a recruiter for the Army. He served in Vietnam and earned rank as a Sergeant First Class. He served over 20 years for his country.

On July 14, 1984, Joe and Trina Beck were united in marriage at Bartonville, Illinois, and to this union two children were born, Jesse and Eric.

Joe started his career with the U.S. Postal Service in 1993 as a custodian and then retired as a Maintenance Supervisor.

Joe was a Christian. He and Trina attended the Frye Church where Reverend Win Beck (Trina's father) preached in the Squires community.  Joe was very fond of his father-in-law's preaching.

Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping, cutting firewood, riding motorcyles, old classic cars, and watching his Chicago Cubs. His greatest love was playing and teaching pool (billiards) with his son, Eric.

Joe and Trina resided with their children in Mansfield, Missouri for several years before moving to Squires. They both served as volunteers for the Squires Volunteer Fire Department. Working together with Trina, they started the active medical response unit for the Squires Volunteer Fire Department. Joe and Trina also volunteered their time to help with the Squires community square dance fundraiser. The monies made were put back in the community to help others. In addition, they helped fund raise and coordinate benefits for the Eagles #3748.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Reverend. Win Beck.

Joe is survived by his wife, Trina; his children and their spouse, Jesse and Daniel Sutton, Eric Bricker, Tony and Jennifer Bricker, Joe Bricker, II, and Daniel Bricker; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Marie Stanley; one brother, Robert Bricker; his aunt and uncle; nieces; nephews; other extended relatives and many friends.
