JOSIE JEARLINE SANDERS

Josie Jearline Sanders, 84, of Overland Park, KS went home to be with the Lord on July 7, 2012. She was born in Oakland, AR and lived most of her life in Shawnee Mission, KS. She was a charter member of Montgall General Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO and a current member of Shawnee First Baptist. She was a stylist and owner of Jerri's Salon in Mission, KS for 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Dorothy Griffin, brother Jack Griffin, brother Ben Griffin and sister Anna Willbanks.

Josie is survived by her husband of 67 years, Curtis; daughter Gatha (Dean) Schleicher of Charlotte, NC; son Michael (Lisa) Sanders of Olathe, KS; grandchildren Brian Schleicher, Charlotte, NC., Mark Schleicher, Tucson, AZ, Sara Sanders and Staci Sanders of Olathe, KS., great grandchildren: Hailey, Riley, Mackenzie and Bailey; sister Neva (John) Ledbetter of Springfield, MO.

Josie's greatest joys were the Lord, her family, and a love of travel, including several trips to Europe.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville, MO, followed by services at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Pontiac Cemetery, Pontiac, MO.
