Joy Ann Tucker

Joy Ann (Lopshire) Tucker, 92, originally of Ava, passed away January 16, 2007 at 2:30 a.m. at the Genesis West Hospital in Davenport, IA.
Joy was born Aug. 21, 1914 in Ainsworth, IA to Albert and Albia K. (Burich) Lopshire. Joy attended Ainsworth School and was of the Baptist faith. Joy married Edward Harold Tucker on January 7, 1937 in Muscatine, IA and to this seven children were born. Joy enjoyed running Tuckers Orchard with her husband and her family in Buffalo, IA. In 1976 they retired and moved to Ava, MO. Here they enjoyed there family, crafts and fishing. After Edwards passing in March of 1985, Joy moved into town. She continued to enjoy crafts and her family and friends, as well as playing cards and dominos with her Red Bud ladies and going to the senior center. Due to poor health in November of 2004, Joy moved in with her eldest daughter Judy Mead and her husband Earl who cared for her until her passing.
Joy was proceeded in death by her parents, eight sisters and brothers, her husband Edward, and there daughter Sandra Ann Naugle in April of 2000.
Joy is survived by her six children, Judy Mead and her husband Earl of Davenport, IA, Linda Curtis and her husband Van of Ava, MO, Becky Abbott of Wellington, MO, James Tucker and his wife Beverly of Kimberling City, MO, Jerry Tucker and his wife Judy of Montpelier, IA and Tommy Tucker and his wife Sharon of Buffalo, IA, many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren as well as lots of family and friends.
Visitation will be from 7pm to 8pm on Thursday January 18 at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava, MO with a Funeral at 2pm Friday January 19. Officiating the service will be Pastor Gary Stigall and Dwayne Davis
