JOYCE LOUIS KAPKE

Joyce Louise Kapke, 82, of Theodosia, MO passed away on October 12, 2013 at the Gainesville Healthcare Center. She was born on January 19, 1931 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Al and Mary Vogel.

Joyce grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran High School. She attended college at the University of Wisconsin. She worked for many years as a Dietician for a Mental Health facility. Joyce enjoyed traveling and camping. She and husband LeRoy Kapke moved to the Ozarks in the late 1990's and made Theodosia their home. Joyce was a computer bug; she spent many hours in front of her computer. She loved gardening and gathering cooking recipes. She was a member of the Ozark Garden Club. Joyce was a Christian and member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Mountain Home, AR. She was also a member of the T.L.C. (Ladies club) at the church. She was loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, and one grandchild. She is survived by her husband LeRoy Kapke of the home in Theodosia, MO; four children Ruth Wachholtz of Hartville, MO, Daniel Haggith of Cedar Grove, WI, David Haggith of Anchorage, AK and Mark Haggith of Lebanon, MO; six grandchildren; and one brother Richard Vogel of Margate, FL.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 801 Dryer St., Mountain Home, AR with Pastor Kapler officiating. Cremation services are under the care and direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
