Juanita Gunter Crouch

Juanita Gunter Crouch, daughter of John Robert McBride and Luvada Mannings McBride was born on Dec. 13, 1926 in Bolivar, MO and passed away in her home with her family by her side on Feb. 17, 2010 at the age of 83 years.

Juanita was a lifelong resident of Douglas and Ozark County. In 1944 Juanita was united in marriage to Gail Gunter and to this union two children were born. He preceded in death. In 1988 Juanita and Delbert Crouch were united in marriage and he also preceded in death.

Juanita was a member of the Ava General Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading novels, cooking, gardening and spending time with all her family.

Juanita was preceded in death by her two husbands, Gail Gunter and Delbert Crouch, her parents, her son, Robert Dale Gunter, three sisters, Betty Lambert, Shirley Rush, Geneva Gunter, five brothers, Billy, Junior, Arthur, Jason and Earnie McBride.

Her survivors include one son and his wife, Johnny G. & Shirley Gunter, Ava, MO, a niece,Mae Donna & James Alcorn, Ava, MO, six grandchildren, Sherri Robertson, Michelle Farris, Warren Gunter, Robert Dale Gunter Jr., Lisa McGowan and Vanessa Miller, one step grandson, Bruce Gruver, two sisters, Lyda Byerley, Ava, MO and Jewell & Jake Miller, Ava, MO, fourteen great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Juanita will be Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at the Souder Cemetery in Ozark County, MO. Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 18th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Family requests memorials to Souder Cemetery or Hospice Compassus.
