JUANITA HASKINS
Juanita (Smith) Haskins was born on November 30, 1927 in Ozark County to Walter and Bealie (Bushong) Smith. She was called to be with the Lord on July 25, 2016 at Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains, MO at the age of 88 years, 7 months, and 25 days.
Juanita married Charles Haskins on December 26, 1946 in Mountain Home, AR. To this union two children were born, Jerry Wayne and Charles David.
Juanita worked as a waitress at Skeeter's Café, a clerk in the Ozark County Courthouse for several years and with Charles in the family business, Haskins Plumbing and Electric. She enjoyed watching hummingbirds, watching "The Stories", bible study, cooking and canning fresh vegetables from her two huge gardens. Her favorite things were spending time with her family, especially the great-grandkids, and eating Worther's candy.
She is survived by her son David Haskins, Brixey, MO; grandson Jeremy Haskins and Kelly, Scottsdale, AZ; granddaughters Anne Marie Drew and Dan, Scottsdale, AZ; Ashley Smith and Damon, Scottsdale, AZ; Katie Smith and Delbert, Pottersville, MO; Charley Haskins, Mountain Home, AR; fourteen great-grandchildren, Brendon, Sydney, Makeyla, Kadden, Nathan, Conner, Gracie, Jaden, Makenzie, Brystel, Hallie, Kennedy, Decker and Hudson on the way; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Juanita is preceded in death by her husband Charles; son Jerry; parents; and brothers Fred, Don and Gale.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO with Gale Wooten and Jerry Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in the Bushong Cemetery near Brixey, MO. Visitation will be Friday evening, July 29th from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family asks that memorials be made to the Bushong Cemetery, or to Ronald McDonald House.
