Juanita (Brazeal) Johnston

Juanita Johnston, 73 years, 7 months, 12 days old, passed away on, November 19, 2016 at her home with her family by her side after a long battle with cancer.

Juanita was born April 7, 1943 in Douglas County, Missouri to William Orley and Laura Olivia (Bellinger) Brazeal.

Juanita worked as an LPN at St. John's Hospital for many years. Later she worked on a dairy farm so she could be closer to her family.

On June 26, 1980 Juanita and Thomas Junior Johnston were united in marriage.

Juanita enjoyed gardening, going to garage sales and buying antiques. She especially enjoyed spending time with her famlily.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, Shirley Brazeal and Sarah Boles, eight brothers, Paul Brazeal, Milton Brazeal, Maurice Elton Ray Brazeal, William Brazeal, Vernon Brazeal, Ernest Brazeal, Joe Brazeal and LZ Brazeal.

Juanita is survived by two daughters, Beverly JoAnn Arvin, Anita Rae-Ann Bardwell, one son, Thomas J. Johnston II, eight grandchildren, Kelsey Johnston, Samuel Johnston, Jaxon Johnston, Jase Johnston, Kaylee Bardwell, Matthew Bardwell, Kaleb Bardwell and Brian VanOverberg and a host of other relatives and friends.




Funeral services for Juanita will be Saturday November 26, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO. Visitation will be Friday from 6-7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Dennis Cemetery in Mansfield, MO. Officiating will be Pastor Ray Brazeal. Memorials may be made to Dennis Cemetery.
