Judy A. Phillips, 58 years, went to Heaven on August 21, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family, friends, and her faithful companion BG.
Judy was born April 19, 1955 in Pottstown, PA to Robert and Peg (Harrison) Williams.
On May 25, 1973 Judy and Eddie Phillips were united in marriage in Ava, MO and to this union two children were born.
Judy was a long time resident of the Ava community. She was employed by Hagales for many years, as well as Town and Country Supermarket and Emersons.
Judy enjoyed raising horses and trail riding with her friends, as well as garage sales and antique shopping. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to those who needed it, and her fight against cancer was inspirational to all. Judy was an animal lover and enjoyed caring for all her animals. She loved spending time with her loving husband Eddie, her children, and 3 grandchildren.
Judy was a Christian and attended the Ava General Baptist Church.
Judy was preceded in death by her father.
Judy is survived by her husband Eddie of the home, a son Mark and his wife Amy of Ava, and a daughter Missy and her husband Randall Tate of Ava. Judy is also survived by three Grandchildren, Michael, Macey, and Addison Phillips all of Ava, her Mother Peg Williams, two sisters, Jennifer Williams of Ava and JoAnn Williams of Los Angeles, CA., a special sister-n-law, Wanda and her husband Ralph Hedrick of Ava, and many family and friends.
Funeral services for Judy will be Monday, August 26, 2013, 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Arno Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn and Pastor Lester Platt. Memorials may be made to Cancer Treatment Centers of America or Three Rivers Hospice.
