KAREN LEE MELTON
Karen Lee Melton, 66, of Gainesville, MO passed away on December 11, 2012 at her residence. She was born on September 15, 1946 in rural Douglas County, the daughter of Delcia Lee and Lora Agnes (Hale) Lakey.
Karen was a graduate of Ava High School. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and exercising in her swimming pool. Karen was a Christian and attended the "Y" Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Gainesville, MO. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ. She was a very loving wife and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Dale Melton of the home in Gainesville, MO; step-son Bob Melton and his wife Nancy of Macomb, MO; one sister Sharon, and one nephew Mike.
A Graveside funeral service for Karen will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2012 in the Good Hope Cemetery with Lowell Tregle officiating.
