Karon Elaine Moss, 69 years, 8 months, 2 days old, passed away on December 7, 2022 at her home.

Karon was born April 5, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri to Howard and Phyllis (Brewer) Deal.

Karon and Bryan Moss were united in marriage on July 16, 1983 at the Sandy Baptist Church in Hillsboro, Missouri.  Together they raised two children, Kelli and Caryn.

She helped operate the family construction business for 27 years and was a loving wife and homemaker.  Karon enjoyed canning from her garden and growing flowers.  She spent time with Bryan hunting and fishing, and she loved her daughters and grandchildren.

Karon was preceded in death by her parents.

Karon is survived by her husband, Bryan; her daughters, Kelli Merkt of Ava, Missouri, Caryn Rae and John Pierce of Hillsboro, Missouri; grandchildren, Mikal Merkt of Arnold, Missouri, and Mason Pierce of Hillsboro, Missouri; brothers Mike and Jane Deal of House Springs, Missouri, Howard Deal of Kansas City, Missouri, and Daryl Deal of House Springs, Missouri and sister, Lisa and John Gabbard.

Memorial services for Karon will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 13,2022 in the Clinkingbeard Chapel in Ava, Missouri. Visitation will be at 12:00  until service time..  Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
