Anna Kathleen Harnden, 95 years, passed to heaven on March 21, 2011 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, Ava, MO.

Kathleen was born February 6, 1916 in Douglas County, MO to Homer and Hattie (Ellison) Hailey. She graduated from Ava High School in 1933 and attended Draughon's Business College.

Kathleen was a lifelong resident of the Ava community. On Nov. 26, 1941 Kathleen and Glenn Harnden were united in marriage in Ava, MO and to this union four children were born.

Kathleen was a member of the Ava United Methodist Church. She enjoyed and worked hard helping Glenn on the farm. Kathleen also enjoyed sewing, cooking and playing the piano for her family. Her joy in life was being with her family and especially her grandchildren.

Kathleen was preceded by her parents, her husband, Glenn, a son, Robert Glenn, two sisters, Geraldine Hailey and Mona Denney and an infant brother.


Kathleen is survived by three daughters, Mary Kay & David Davidson, Ava, MO, Linda & Charles Meeker, Springfield, MO and Jo Etta Harnden, Nixa, MO, seven grandchildren,thirteen great grandchildren, one brother, Edwin Hailey, Ava, MO, one sister-in-law, Ellen & Gene Dilsaver, Nixa, MO, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.


Funeral services for Kathleen will be Friday, March 25, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Ava Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Oren Alcorn, Rev. Marty Blakey and Rev. Van Williams. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice of charity.
