KELVIN SMITH

Kelvin Smith, 54, of Zanoni, MO passed away on October 15, 2016 at his parents' house surrounded by family. He was born September 25, 1962 in Mountain Grove, MO, the son of James Huey and Arlene Rose (Royster) Smith.

Kelvin married Teresa Perkins on December 20, 1980. To this union three children were born, Daniel Ray Smith, Rebecca Kay Smith and Deborah Rose Smith. He was a carpenter by trade, but he could work on and fix just about anything. He could do it all from electrical, plumbing and carpentry. He loved gospel music. Kelvin was a Christian and attended Pleasant Hill Church, known as Seedtick. He was loved and will be missed by all his family and friends.

Kelvin is survived by his parents, Huey and Arlene Smith of Zanoni, MO; his children Daniel, Rebecca and Deborah; one brother Ronald Smith of Zanoni, MO; five sisters Mona Huffman and husband Steve of Summersville, MO, Karla Hogan and husband Mike of Thornfield, MO, Falene Magness and husband Jeff of Marshall, AR, Jennifer Smith of West Plains, MO, and Jessica Smith of Zanoni, MO; twelve grandchildren that he loved very much; several nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; and lots of cousins.

He was preceded in death by his Grandma & Grandpa Dewey and Myrtle Smith; Grandma & Grandpa Henry and Dorothy Royster; one niece Halley Joyce Magness; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2016 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO with Mitchell Boggs Jr. officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. till service time. Burial will be in the Sweeton Pond Cemetery in Dora, MO. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Sweeton Pond Cemetery. Arrangements are by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
