Kenneth L. Fitzgerald, 82 years passed away on June 8, 2013 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, Ava, MO.
Kenneth was born June 14, 1930 in Loveland, IA to Robert and Alice (McIntosh) Fitzgerald.
Kenneth was a retired over the road Truck Driver. He drove for many years across the country. Kenneth was a resident of the Ava community for several years moving from Omaha, NE.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a Christian and of the Nazarene faith.
He enjoyed horses and attending horse auctions. He had a great sense of humor and loved visiting with people.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Lila Carlson and one son, Edward Fitzgerald.
Kenneth is survived by three children, Mary Noonen & husband, Randy, Omaha, NE, Bill Fitzgerald, Council Bluff, IA, and Christopher Fitzgerald, Minneapolis, MN, his step-mother, Marie Fitzgerald, Omaha, NE, six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two sisters, Lois Weidman, Ava, MO and Norma Ingram, Squires, MO, a step sister & husband, Wanda & Ray Martis, Omaha, NE, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Cremation services for Kenneth were conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. A memorial and burial will be held in Granes Cemetery, Crescent, Iowa at a later date and time.
