Larry Copas, 72 years, 5 months, and 3 days old, passed away on January 15, 2016 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, Ava, MO with his loving wife, June by his side.
Larry was born August 12, 1943 in Polo, MO to Harry and Thelma (Sipple) Copas.
Larry was a resident of Forsyth, MO. He was a retired professional fisherman and Co-Owner of Lix Corporation, a chemical company out of Kansas City, MO area.
On September 30, 1983 Larry and June Ridenour were united in marriage in Ava, MO.
Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting and smoking his cigars. Most of all he loved being with and entertaining his grandchildren!
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Peggy Ridenour.
Larry is survived by his wife, June Copas, Forsyth, MO, four children and their spouses, Julie Erwin, Ozark, MO, Jeri & Jim Clark, Houston, MO, Janette & Dean Linder, Ava, MO and Robert Edward & Sandy Copas, Brownbranch, MO, 10 grandchildren,19 great grandchildren, one sister, Dorothy K. Ritter, Prairie Village, KS, many nieces, nephews
and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Larry will be Monday, Jan. 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Whites Creek Cemetery, east of Ava. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 a.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Neal Crum. Memorials may be made to Whites Creek Cemetery.
