Laura Faye Allen, 89 years, 5 months, and 29 days old, passed peacefully to Heaven on December 28, 2025, at Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour, Missouri.

Laura was born June 30, 1936, in Shell Knob, Missouri to Elbert and Blanche (Plummer) Swofford.

On February 27, 1952, Laura and Harley Lee Allen were united in marriage in Berryville, Arkansas, and they were blessed with four sons.

Laura was a faithful and Godly wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a servant’s heart. She had many friends and family who loved her dearly as she loved them. She grew up singing and was part of a quartet from the Dogwood Nazarene Church and continued to love singing well into her later years. She faithfully served her Lord at Gentry Church until she was no longer able to attend. She and her husband were co-owners of Ava TV Clinic, and she worked along side him at their farm located on Honey Creek Road. She enjoyed working outside, quilting, and spoiling her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harley; son, Reggie; grandson, Travis, and granddaughter Shannon Allen; and seven siblings, Randall, Lawanna, Dorsel, Mae, Bill, Mandy, and Charlotte.

She is survived by three sons and their spouses, Ron Allen, Rick and Darlene Allen, and Rob and Paula Allen; daughter-in-law, Beth (Allen) Coulouras; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; five siblings, Shirley, Rolla, Lonnie, Joyce, and Mitzi; many nieces, nephews, other extended relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Laura will be Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava Missouri. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be in the Ava cemetery. Officiating will be Reverend Davy Wilson. Memorials may be made to Dementia Society of America or Gentry Church.
