LAVERNE "L.O." NITSCHE
L.O. Nitsche, 79, of Gainesville, MO passed away on May 12, 2011 at the Gainesville Healthcare Center. He was born on August 27, 1931 in Mason City, Neb., the son of William and Eva (Stuckert) Nitsche.
L.O. was a veteran having proudly served his country for four years in the United States Navy. He was a graduate from M.I.T. He worked as an electrical engineer at Hughes Aerospace. L.O. lived in Montrose, CO for several years with his mother. He was a businessman, owning several bowling centers at one time. In 2005, he moved to Missouri with his nephew, Bruce W. Peters and wife Kimberly, and their sons Riley and Colton.
L.O. was preceded in death by his father William Nitsche and his mother Eva (Stuckert) Nitsche. He is survived by his two sisters Mavis (Nitsche) Slack of Sutherland, Neb and Karen (Nitsche) Peters of Cortez, Colo; and many nieces and nephews.
No local services are planned at this time. Cremation services are under the care and direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
