LAWANDA JEAN POE

LaWanda Jean Endicott Poe, 72, of Gainesville, MO died January 2, 2013 at her home from a long illness. Mrs. Poe was born June 17, 1940 in West Plains, Moto parents Clendon Endicott and Velma (Harris) Endicott of Tecumseh, MO. She was married on March 12, 1960 to Bernie Poe of Gainesville, MO.

Mrs. Poe was dedicated and giving mother and grandmother. She loved her children and grandchildren. She always wanted to know how they were and what they were doing. She was an excellent cook and loved to prepare food for her family whether it was Sunday dinners, holidays or just any ordinary day. Everyone enjoyed her food. She worked for several years as the bookkeeper in the family business where she enjoyed visiting with the regular customers.

Mrs. Poe is survived by her husband, Bernie Poe of Gainesville, MO; two sons Mike Poe and wife Tina of Gainesville, MO and Mark Poe and wife Laurie of Gainesville, MO; four grandchildren Micaela, Brandon, Ashley and Ryan Poe. She was preceded in death by her parents Clendon and Velma Harris Endicott.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2013 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville, MO with Bro. Gale Wooten officiating. Burial will be in the Pontiac Cemetery.
