LAWRENCE FRIEND

Lawrence Friend passed away Saturday evening, December 16, 2006 at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri, after a long illness and pneumonia at the age of 51 years, 5 months, and 10 days old. Lawrence was born on July 6, 1955 in Gainesville, Missouri to Efton Friend and Juanita (Murrell) Friend. He loved being around his family, and also enjoyed hunting and fishing and being in the outdoors. Lawrence is survived by his father Efton Friend of Gainesville, Missouri, five sisters Betty Garfit and husband Doyle of Isabella, Missouri, Sue Hogan of Gainesville, Missouri, Becky Boyd and husband Lynell of Gainesville, Missouri, Mary Bates and husband Dave of Gainesville, Missouri, Wilma Pendergrass of Willow Springs, Missouri; 4 brothers George Friend and wife Sue of Springdale, Arkansas, O.J. Friend of Gainesville, Missouri, Charles Friend of the State of Indiana, Benny Friend of Miller, Missouri, many nieces and nephews, lots of friends, and one special friend Barney Head. He is preceded in death by his mother Juanita Friend, sister Eva June, nephew Brian Loftis, and grandparents Harrison and Iva Friend.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Lilly Ridge General Baptist Church with Jeff Dotson and Mike Dillin officiating. Pallbearers will be Rockey Pendergrass, Catlin Friend, B.J. Bates, Robby Bates, Davin Friend, Barney Head, and Kevin Newton.
