L D Gott, 84 years, passed to heaven on May 14, 2010 at Kabul Nursing Home Inc., Cabool, MO.

L D was born February 28, 1926 in Prairie Grove, AR to James and Eva (Chambers) Gott.

LD was a resident of Mtn. Grove, MO living with his daughter for six years moving from Drury, MO where he lived for over 30 years. He was a Logger and had worked in the Timber Industry for most of his life.

He was married to Francis Hicks and to this union one daughter, Melissa was born. Later he married Karen Sue Sparks on April 5, 1980 in Willow Springs, MO. She preceded him in death in 1998. LD was a Christian and had attended the Willow Springs Baptist Church, No. 2. LD was a proud member of the Cherokee Nation. He enjoyed visiting with people and would do anything to lend a helping hand. He was an honest and hardworking man.

L D was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Karen Gott, two brothers, Carl and J.C Gott and one infant sister.


L D is survived by one daughter and spouse, Melissa & Danny Holt, Mtn. Grove, MO, two step grandchildren, Danny Alexander & R.C. Holt, Mtn. Grove, MO, one brother, Junior Gott, Batesville, AR, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.


Funeral services for L D will be Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Pleasant Home Cemetery, Drury, MO. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 18, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Dwayne Sparks.
