Lela Uldena Watson, 91 years, passed to heaven on May 6, 2010 at Hidden Lake Care Center in Raytown, MO.

Uldena was born May 8, 1918 in Almartha, MO in Ozark County to William and Maggie (Stewart) Scott.

On May 20, 1933 Uldena and Doin V. Watson were united in marriage and to this union nine children were born. She was a cook for many years at Spring Valley and Wilhoit Restaurant in Theodosia, MO. Uldena was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Wasola, MO. Uldena loved quilting, cooking pies and rolls, flower gardening and being with all her family.

Uldena was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Doin in 1977, two daughters, Alice and Maggie, grandson, Brian, great grandson, Rusty, three sisters, Jewell, Josie and Ruth, three brothers, Yuel, Buel and Glen, son-in-law, Carl Evans and a daughter-in-law, Janice Nall.


Uldena is survived by four daughters, Pauline Wallace, Kansas City, MO, Lorine Huitt, Leavenworth, KS, Evelyn Evans, Squires, MO, Jenice Pollock & Johnny, Joshua, TX, and three sons, Delmas Watson & Beverly, Ava, MO, Darrel Watson & Audean, Noble, MO and H.B. Watson & Carol, Lee Summit, MO, 20 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren, two brothers & their spouses, Guy & Glenda Scott, Ava, MO, Noel & Geneva Scott, Moses Lake, WA, many nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.


Funeral services for Uldena will be Monday, May 10, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, May 10, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to service time in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Oak Grove Cemetery.
