Obituary

LEO DIRKER

Leo Richard Dirker passed away Sunday morning, October 14, 2007 at Willow Care Nursing Home in Willow Springs, Missouri. He was 89 years old. Leo was born on November 25, 1918 in Wilmington, Illinois to Wilfred Dirker and Ida (Nills) Dirker. In December of 1944, Leo joined the United States Army and served in WW II before being Honorable Discharged on November 27, 1946. Leo worked as a long distance truck driver for 25 years for Denver Chicago Trucking Co., also worked at the Joliet Arseneau and Carter Wallace before retiring.
He loved his dogs, boating and fishing. Leo traveled after retirement, settling in Theodosia, and then Tecumseh, Missouri.
Leo is survived by his daughter Judy Boudreau and husband Tom of Bradley, Illinois, two sons Larry Dirker and wife Sandy of Tinley Park, Illinois and Chris Dirker of Glendale, Arizona.;and 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a special friend Ann Parmley. Cremation Services are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home of Gainesville.
