Leon Keller, 75 years, 11 months, and 2 days old, passed to heaven on February 18, 2013 at his home in Ava, MO.

Leon was born March 16, 1937 in Miller, South Dakota to Joseph and Lila (Kane) Keller.

Leon married Teresa on March 11, 1979 in Las Vegas, NV.

Leon was a resident of the Ava community for the last couple of years. Leon continually expressed how happy he was to have moved to Ava, MO.

Leon was in construction most of his adult life. After he left the construction field, he went into the rental business were he enjoyed meeting new people and helping them.

Leon enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and children. He also enjoyed fishing and discussing politics, where he was an avid democrat.

Leon was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Evelyn, three brothers, Gene, Carl, and Don.

Leon is survived by his wife, Teresa Keller, four sons, James (Kathy) Keller, Brian (Molly) Keller, Kevin (Melissa) Keller, and Sean (Sherry) Keller, two daughters, Sheila (John) Dudzinski, and Debra (Bart) Bolejack, nineteen grandchildren, Dwight, Wade, Emily, Lauren, Sarah, Hazel, Allison, Courtney, Christopher, Noah, Matthew, Mason, Tra, Asha, Jeremiah, Bianca, Jeni, Tiffany, Jason, five great-grandchildren, Riley, Nia, Ashlyn, Tyler, Talia, three sisters, Theresa (Lester) Eschenbaum, Maxine Thompson, LuVay Canale, one brother, Keith (Pat)Keller, sister-in-law, Alice Keller and many other relatives and friends.


A Memorial Service will be at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home Chapel Ava, MO on Tuesday, Feb. 26th at 2p.m. Interment will be at the Elbert Cemetery in Elbert, Colorado at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Neighbor Helping Neighbor.
