LEONARD O. AHLGREN
Leonard O Ahlgren was born the son of Harry Anton and Hulda Ahlgren in Kristianstad, Sweden on December 15, 1921. He departed from this life on March 8, 2015 at his home in Theodosia, MO. He was 93 years old.
Survivors include his son Bill Ahlgren and wife Paula, and Bob Ahlgren of Illinois; his grandchildren Eric, Jake, Sarah, Garrett, Elizabeth, Amber, Krista and Keelie; and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Martha; a sister Lois; one daughter Diane; and two sons Bradley and Kevin.
Len served in the U.S. Navy on the submarines during World War II, then came home and became a tool & die maker. He graduated from the University of Texas in Austin. He went on to become a buyer for Sears which earned him many awards for his many years of hard work.
After retiring from Sears, he got into the import/export business which took him to China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and all over the Far East. There are very few places in the world where he has not put his feet down. Len had a good life and lived it to the fullest.
He also leaves behind his Missouri family of 23 years: his companion Joyce Jeffery; John and Eric, Megan, Jaxon, Thea Ethan, Triston, Kai, and his dogs.
Len loved the Lord and loved Psalms 91, which he recited every day.
Memorial services for Len will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Salem General Baptist Church in Ocie, MO with Davin Friend officiating. Arrangements are by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
