LEROY JENKINS

Leroy Jenkins, 79, of Gainesville, MO passed away on February 21, 2013 at his residence. He was born on January 24, 1934 in Oakland, AR the son of Charles Waco and Roxie E. (Plumlee) Jenkins.

Leroy grew up in Gainesville, MO but graduated from North High School in Wichita, KS. He was a veteran, having served his country for four years in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Doris Pauline Feazell on March 7, 1953. Leroy worked as a draftsman for Boeing Company for forty years. After his retirement, he moved back to Gainesville where he enjoyed the outdoors. Leroy loved nature and watching the wildlife and had several animals that he fed around his house. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Leroy was preceded in death by his parents Waco and Roxie Jenkins; two sons Charles and Gerald Jenkins; and one granddaughter. He is survived by his wife Doris Pauline Jenkins of Gainesville, MO; one son Ricky Jenkins and wife Diana of Wichita, KS; six grandchildren; and one sister Juanita Friend of Wichita, KS.

Funeral services for Leroy will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville, MO with Bro. Dale Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from Noon to service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Oakland Cemetery.
