Lester Joe Lane

Lester Joe Lane, 75 years and 22 days old, passed away on August 28, 2023 from an auto accident in Ava.

Lester was born August 6, 1948 in Toledo, MO to Martin Burton and Erma Fern (Hale) Lane.

Lester was raised on a farm with his family in Ozark County. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and served during the Vietnam War.

He was retired from working at Crystal Lake Fisheries as a truck driver. Before that he worked at Hutchens Steel Plant in Mansfield, MO for 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and he loved driving the John Deere tractor for Rick Huff. Lester delighted in visiting and joking with his friends and family. His family was his world and he loved them dearly as they did him!

Lester was preceded in death by his parents; three siblings, Walter and Joel Lane and Karen Lane.

He is survived by his daughters, Debbie Lane and Michelle Lane; his grandson, Derek Lane; siblings, Toby Lane, Martin Junior Lane, and Sharon Brunson; many nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Cremation services are being conducted for Lester by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.  Lester's wishes were to be cremated. They will be having a private Celebration of Life.
