Linda Horning

Ava, Missouri

Linda Horning, 75 years, and 10 days old, passed away on September 14, 2025, at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare in Ava, Missouri.

Linda was born September 4, 1950, in Gardner, Kansas, to Joseph and Fern (Cox) Karnes.

She was an Elvis fan,  loved antiquing, and going to garage sales.  Linda liked trying new recipes and gardening.  She was a hard worker and enjoyed working with her dad making parts at Hemet Aircraft Manufacturing. Linda retired from working at a skilled nursing facility. Her cat, Blizzard, was special to her, and she loved spending time with him.

Linda was known in the community as one of the sweetest people you would ever meet.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, and one grandson, Kyle.

Linda is survived by her children and spouses, Luke and Lauren Horning, and Dan Powers; grandchildren, Tristen and Cameron Powers, Luke J, Jane, Gianna, Levi, Tessa, and Elliana Horning; brother, Michael Karnes, and sister, Barbara Karnes.

Cremation services for Linda are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava, Missouri.
