Linda Jo Medlock

Sparta, MO

Linda Jo Medlock, 57 years, 6 months, and 11 days old, passed away on April 13, 2011 at her home with her family by her side.

Linda was born October 2, 1953 in Goodhope, MO to Harlan Ellis and Josephine (Hicks) Suggs.

Linda was a resident of the Sparta area for the past three years moving from Houston, TX. She had also lived in the Ava community for several years and had worked at the Zenith Corp. in Springfield. In Houston she worked for a Pharmacy Co. and K-Mart for several years.

Linda enjoyed playing Bingo, being outdoors and caring for her flowers, and being with her grandchildren. She was a Christian and baptized at an early age.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Anna Lou Caudill, Patricia Ann Harvey and Brenda Kay Hill and one brother, William Ellis.


Linda is survived by two children, Sam Medlock & wife Amanda, Fordland, MO, Sonya Medlock, Sparta, MO, six grandchildren, Ashley, Elanea, James, McKenzie, Samantha and Ashton, one great grandchild on-the-way, Madison Jo, two sisters, Dorothy Phillips, Bruner, MO, Rita Ege, Ozark, MO, three brothers, Richard Lynn Suggs, Plentywood, MT, Robert Lee Suggs, Cowgill, MO, Earl Suggs, Fordland, MO many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Linda will be Saturday, April 16, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, April 15, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Roberts. Memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
