Linda Ralene Oxley, 59 years, 11 months, 9 days old, passed away on May 4, 2017 at her home in Ava.

Linda was born May 25, 1957 in Gainesville, MO to Ray and Earlene (Trent) Oxley.

Linda graduated from Gainesville High School and later she graduated Summa Cum Laude with three degrees including Sociology, Criminology, and Psychology from Drury College in Springfield, MO.
Linda had worked at Copeland in Ava for many years.

She grew up with her family in the Church of Christ. She always looked forward to returning home on Sundays for fried chicken dinners.

Linda enjoyed crocheting and donating baby caps for hospitals. She loved birds and flowers and spent many hours among them. Linda enjoyed sewing and made many lap quilts for family members and friends. Linda was devoted to those she loved near and far away.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Earlene Oxley, grandparents, John and Ora Oxley and William and Florence Trent, and a nephew, Zackary Moyer.

Linda is survived by her siblings, Joy Arrington, St. Clair, MO, Connie Hall and husband, Don, Houston, TX, Karen Moyer and husband, Stan, Parkville, MO, Theron Oxley and wife, Vicky, Wasola, MO, Ray Tharol Oxley and wife, Mary, Texarkana, AR, two nieces, three nephews, and other relatives and friends.


Cremation services for Linda are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Burial of her ashes will be determined at a later date.
