Linda Lee Welch

Ava, Missouri

Linda Lee Welch, 77 years, 4 months, 27 days old, passed away on June 19, 2023 at her home in Ava, Missouri with her husband, Rayford, and family by her side.

Linda was born January 22, 1946 in Branson, MO to Ola "Olie" Smith and Patsy "Hattie" (Fry) Parsons.

When just 11 years old, Linda was nurtured and raised by Robert and Betty Jo Riley in the Longrun community and later moved to the Kansas City area.

On May 27, 1963 Linda and Rayford Welch were united in marriage at Harrisonville, MO.

Linda was retired from working at Emerson Electric and also Copeland in Ava, MO. She also worked in Ozark, MO.  Linda loved her flowers, gardening, sewing, and her dogs. She was a Christian and of the Baptist faith.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Rayford; special cousins, Boyd & Freeda Garrison; nephew and wife, Russell & Cynthia Riley; many other nieces, nephews;  other extended family and many friends.

Funeral services for Linda will be Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Hicks Cemetery, Theodosia, MO. Officiating will be Rev. Dale Roberts. Visitation will be Thursday prior to the service at 1:30 P.M. Family requests donations to the Hicks Cemetery.
