Logan Brown

Ava, Missouri

Logan Brown, 92 years, 8 months, 23 days old, passed away April 12, 2018 at his home with his loving wife, Cinita and family by his side.

Logan was born July 20, 1925 in Rockbridge, MO to Walter H. and Anna (Hicks)  Brown.

Logan was a retired Carpenter. He also served as Douglas County Coroner for many years and operated the Ava Area Ambulance Service during the 1970's.

On October 22, 1952 Logan and Cinita Davis were united in marriage at Ava General Baptist Church and they were blessed with three children, Keith, Lynne and Jane.

He was a Christian and a member of the Ava General Baptist Church for almost 60 years.

Logan had a great sense of humor and there was always laughter when he was around. Logan was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting and displaying antique tools. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Logan was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Keith Logan Brown in 1992, three sisters, Luetta, Irene, and Georgia, a brother, Herbert, his father-in-law, Coma Davis, and brother-in-law, Paul Davis.

Logan is survived by his wife of 65 years, Cinita, daughter, Lynne Brown-Chrislaw and husband, Charlie Chrislaw of Fayette, MO, and daughter, Jane Brown of Ava, MO, three grandsons, Andrew Logan Brown, Brinkley, AR, Logan Wallace Chrislaw, Fayette, MO, and Lucas Charles Chrislaw and wife, Jessica of Glasgow, MO, a step granddaughter, Dezerah Gilleland of Pleasant Hope, MO, one great granddaughter, Jaiden Elizabeth Brown of Kennett, MO and one step great grandson, Eli Michael Johanning of Glasgow, MO, one sister, Lucille Brown of Burlington, KS and one brother, Lloyd Brown of Tarkio, MO, Andrews mother, Ruth Ann Brown of Brinkley, AR, sister-in-law, Marjorie Davis Gannaway of Stockton, MO, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Funeral services for Logan will be Monday, April 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO. Visitation will be Sunday, April 15 th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Ava Cemetery.  Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn and Grandson, Logan Chrislaw presenting the Eulogy. Memorials may be made to Yates Cemetery or charity of choice at the funeral home.
