Lois Jane Hendrix

Ava, Missouri

Lois Jane Hendrix, 85 years and 28 days old, passed away on October 10, 2017 at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, MO with her family by her side.

Lois was born September 13, 1932 in Roxbury, Kansas to Clifford and Rachel (Milleson) Anderson.

Lois and Glen Allen Hendrix were united in marriage and to this union seven children were born.

Lois enjoyed farming, quilting and her dogs.  She also liked taking long walks on her farm.

Lois was preceded in death by parents, her husband, Glen, four children, Lucretia Spence, John Allen Hendrix, Jerald L. Hendrix, and Teresa Jo Hendrix, four brothers, Edward Anderson, Arthur Anderson, Ronald Anderson and Eugene Anderson.

Lois is survived by three children, Glen Hendrix, Ava, MO, Patricia Hendrix, Alton, MO, and Geneva Hendrix, Wichita, KS, thirteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, a sister Alice Benfer, Gypsum, KS, and many other friends and family.

Funeral services for Lois will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Ritter Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn.  Memorials may be made to the Central Missouri Humane Society.
