Lorene (Riley) Robertson

Lorene Robertson, 87 years, 1 month, and 8 days old, passed to her Heavenly home on February 1, 2016 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, Ava, MO with her family by her side. Lorene had been battling Alzheimer's for several years.

Lorene was born December 24, 1928 in Tarkio, MO to William Henry and Ethel (Hicks) Riley.

On January 16, 1947 Lorene and Vernon "Gene" Robertson were united in marriage in Mtn. Home, AR and to this union four children were born.

Lorene was a Christian and a member of the Wolf Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, bird watching, fishing, square dancing and going to garage sales.

Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Maureen Gail Tiedeman, three brothers; Bill, Robert and Buster Riley, four sisters; Evelyn Bagwell, Ruth Hendrix, Ethel Versaw and Anna Adams, a daughter-in-law, Deborah Robertson and son-in-law, Max Tiedeman.

Lorene is survived by her husband of 69 years, Vernon "Gene" Robertson, Mansfield, MO, daughter, Pat Stover, Mansfield, MO, two sons, Rob Robertson, Nixa, MO and Kevin Robertson, Adrian, MO, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, three sisters; Zona Hartin, Ava, MO, Delpha Virginia Taylor, Mansfield, MO and Beverly Jean Meredith, Independence, MO, half brother, William Carroll Riley, Marionville, MO, half sister, Shirley Twitty, Willard, MO, many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.


Funeral services for Lorene will be Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Fannon Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. R.E. Helsley and Pastor Brandon McIntosh. Memorials may be made to Wolf Creek Church in Mansfield, MO.
