LOURINE LEDBETTER UPTON
Lourine Ledbetter Upton, Springfield, daughter of Raymond and Dorothy Ledbetter, was born June 28, 1921 in Lutie, MO and passed away December 12, 2008 in Springfield, MO at the age of 87 years.
She married Gene Upton, who preceded her in death on April 23, 1981. She loved to be with people, and dearly loved God and her church, and her husband. She was a member of Eastern Star. She was also a faithful member of Sunset Church of Christ in Springfield.
She worked at the Bank of Gainesville, then her and Gene moved to Kansas City where she worked at Gill Studios. They later moved back to Theodosia, MO. After her husband passed away with cancer, Lourine moved to Springfield, MO where she passed away at Primrose Nursing Home. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones and friends.
She is survived by one sister Pauline Wallace and one brother John Ledbetter both of Springfield, MO; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Monday, December 15, 2008 at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO. Interment will follow in the Lutie Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 11AM to service time at the funeral home.
